A nasty little virus has left me with the even more more nasty little problem of vertigo - and I'm not talking fear of heights (though I have that too)!
Everytime time I tilt, turn or change direction the world moves around me - and doesn't stop for several minutes (okay, seconds - but it feels like eons). Unfortunately this goes for typing too - I'm no touch typist so spend most of my tippytappying scanning the keyboard and just popping my head up every now and then to check what's actually coming out on the screen. The action is pretty reflexive so I don't consciously think about when I'm popping up for a look - or how fast. And I can tell you this is not an action particularly compatible with vertigo!
I won't be posting for a little while (had three breaks already doing this) and my comments on your posts may also be few and far between - but I am still reading them!
I've just dug out an old dictaphone so I'm hoing to keep the WIP moving along - I'll let you now how that works out when I'm back - soon hopefully!
Take care - and if anyone around you starts sneezing - RUN!

Oh dear, I hope you feel better soon. I hear that a great cure for that is cake, or chocolate, or ice cream.
ReplyDeleteWishing you better V soon xx

Tossing It Out
Hope you're feeling better soonest! My friend, Beth, had that bug (she was dizzy, too) - it's a nasty one - losts of rest and chicken soup!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I got that a few years ago and it was awful. Made me queasy and sick and was like being on a fairground ride in the pitch dark as it often happened at night when I tried to go to sleep. I'd had a whole month of deafness in one ear and was afraid I was getting Menieres.
ReplyDeleteThankfully mine cleared up. Lots of well wishes for a speedy recovery.
Oh, Dorothy, I hope you feel better soonest. *sends bouquet of sunny flowers) I had what you had and am just now bouncing back. Whatever it is, it's horrible!!! And scary!!! Just take it one day at a time...you're going to be okay *sighs* even tho you may not feel like it!
